To 100 m on the right of the unloading dock.

There is a coupled marina.

One must leave the car to the entry of the camp-site.

The place is peaceful. One is only disturbed by the continual passage of immense barges. It gives directly on the river what offers a splendid sight.

It is an extremely calm camp-site, with 3rd age and cyclists.

  Day 1: Mills of Kinderdijk

Our voyage in Northern Europe begins in this 22 July.

After approximately 3. 30 of road at the beginning of the north of France, a passage near the towns of Antwerp and Rotterdam we arrive at the famous mills of Kinderdijk. A carpark is available.

Time is very dubious; a sky sinks and threatening which will follow to us during many days.

There are 19 mills on both sides channel. They are used primarily today as place of dwelling. The site is splendid.

These mills were used until 1950 to drain Alblasserwaard located at the lower part of the sea level (according to the green guide Michelin).

The site is classified by UNESCO. One of the mills can be visited. A way makes it possible to approach them.
