Schoonhoven camp-site

8 €

Try + Voiture + 2 People

To 100 m on the right of the unloading dock.

There is a coupled marina.

One must leave the car to the entry of the camp-site.

The place is peaceful. One is only disturbed by the continual passage of immense barges. It gives directly on the river what offers a splendid sight.

It is an extremely calm camp-site, with 3rd age and cyclists.

  Day 1: Mills of Kinderdijk

One leaves this splendid site to join our camp-site with Schoonhoven.

The narrow road of dam which skirts the LEK is very pleasant. On the left the river, and on the right downwards, of the meadows surrounded by small channels, the firm thatch glazes, the orchards, small horses also…

To cross the river and to thus reach the camp-site, one uses a vat which brings us on other bank in a few minutes. (3 € and rotations are very numerous).

The camp-site is very close.

It is 19h. One plants our tent between 2 downpours.

One is then ready to look at passing the barges by drinking the aperitif.

The car being prohibited in the camp-site, one uses a small carriage at disposal to transport our material.
